Connection and Playful engagement

Connection is essential to humans, but it is particularly important for children. Children exist within in the context of a relationship. If there is dysfunction or miscues in the relationship, behavioral problems, and emotional outbursts occur, and eventually a child learns to reduce their needs in order to accommodate the caregiver, ultimately leading to attachment issues. One of the most important things we can do for children is be present and accepting. The more secure relationships a child has, the more likely they are to recover from a traumatic event. Connect with children. Get on their level. Playfully engage with them. And above all else, let them know their presence matters and they are so loved. #childrenareourfuture#connection#empowerment#correction#kidsarethebest
